Replacing an AC takes time and experience.  This line item is for the AC installation process which includes:
 
Removal of old AC unit, clean and prep rooftop, alignment and installation of new AC unit on roof.  Connection of new AC unit to the existing control boxes and electrical.  This does not include any additional labor needed if changing thermostats or control boxes (unless otherwise quoted by service tech).  Does not include disposal of old unit.
